Waiting on Wednesday

Good afternoon everyone! “Waiting on” Wednesday is a weekly book tag/meme originally created by Breaking the Spine. The whole point is to discuss upcoming releases you are most anticipating.

This is the second of these tags I am doing for the first time this week. I have been a book blogger for eight months and I am only just discovering them. Ah well, better late than never. And since I just got drenched from walking in the rain for 30 minutes – and I already have a cold – I thought it might cheer me up to think about what exciting books we have coming our way!

John Green

THIS IS SO EXCITING! Well, if it is true (but for excitements sake let’s just pretend). John Green has been hinting that he is working on a new book and I couldn’t be more delighted. I shall be keeping a close watch over his Twitter account over the next few months! For the lowdown, check out this article on bustle.com.

I am such a huge John Green fan. He is absolutely one of my favourite authors ever and one of the most popular authors of our generation. I fell completely in love with the characters of books such as The Fault in our Stars and Paper Towns. I need more.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone Illustrated Edition

Harry Potter

My new housemates and I have recently watched the first two Harry Potter films in the series with the intention of ploughing on through the rest during our first few weeks here. And today I got myself a new copy of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (in the pretty starry cover) to continue re-reading the series.

Now the upcoming illustrated edition is on my WoW list even though it is unlikely that I will have the money to buy it in October (wishful thinking). But, it had to be mentioned anyway. The images of this edition that have been released are absolutely beautiful and I will make sure I eventually have it in my life!

So, those are my top picks right now! Let me know what you think of the John Green rumours and the new edition of Harry Potter in the comments.

Lots of love,

Laura x
