Following the tremendous success of the Divergent series (2011-2013), bestselling author Veronica Roth has announced plans to publish a new two-book series on dates in 2017 and 2018.
According to a recent article from The Guardian online, revealing the very same news, Roth’s Divergent series has sold 32 million copies so far.
Those of you who have read my post on the final Insurgent trailer will already know how much I adore this series and the film adaptations. I am so excited for the release of Insurgent, the second instalment in the film adaptation series, which is in cinemas on the 20th March this year.
“…a boy who forms an unlikely alliance with an enemy” – HarperCollins on The Guardian online, teasing the plot of Roth’s new books
A lot of mystery currently surrounds Roth’s upcoming series, but The Guardian have reported that her publisher, HarperCollins, explain that it will be about “a boy who forms an unlikely alliance with an enemy.” The new books have also been compared to the likes of Star Wars.
I am so excited to hear of any future developments surrounding these two books. I am a huge fan of Divergent and of Roth’s writing.
